    • The finalists for the China Schools Awards 2026 have recently been announced. Yew Wah International Education School of Tongxiang (YWIES Tongxiang) has successfully been shortlisted as a top-three finalist for the 'Enterprise & Employability Award'!

The China Schools Awards are organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in South & Southwest China. As one of the most influential events in the international education sector in China, these awards aim to recognise exemplary K-12 schools that demonstrate outstanding innovation, exceptional talent, and significant potential for growth.

Being shortlisted as a finalist in the 'Enterprise & Employability' category is not only a high recognition of the educational quality at YWIES Tongxiang, but also an authoritative endorsement of our long-term commitment to breaking down the barriers between school and the workplace, and building diverse pathways for student success.

In an era defined by uncertainty,

we look beyond simply what students have learned to what they can actually do.

      Behind the Award

      Our Practice and Exploration

Behind this distinction lies YWIES Tongxiang's pioneering exploration in curriculum innovation and the cultivation of professional literacy. We are redefining the traditional campus by using the 'Future School' as our blueprint. Our goal is to transform the campus into a practical platform linked to the real world, allowing every student to rehearse their future and accelerate their growth.

      Part 1

      Diverse Pathways, Personalized Success

Every child possesses unique talents and career aspirations. In response, we have developed a highly inclusive and diverse curriculum structure.

Moving beyond a single educational system, our school offers a wide range of options, including IEK, CNC, Cambridge International, Edexcel International, BTEC International, and HKDSE. Whether a student excels in academic research, leans towards arts and creativity, focuses on vocational skills, or aims for higher education in Hong Kong, they can find the 'track' that best suits them here. This tailored approach to curriculum design maximizes students' enthusiasm for learning, allowing them to build confidence in their areas of strength and laying a solid professional foundation for their future careers.

      Part 2

      No Boundaries. Entrepreneurial Thinking

      Elective Curriculum

Our Elective Curriculum go far beyond traditional interest clubs. Here, students are granted a high degree of autonomy to freely explore fields such as Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Fashion, Entrepreneurship, and STEM.

Take the interdisciplinary production of Oliver! Jr. as an example. Students broke through conventional role boundaries—they were not only actors on stage but also transformed into costume designers, brand managers, set engineers, and AV technicians behind the scenes. Through this end-to-end practical project, students learned to solve complex problems, truly mastering how to think and make decisions like entrepreneurs.

      Part 3

      Job Shadow Programme

      Experience the Real Workplace

To help students build a tangible understanding of the real world, we established 'Job Shadow Week.' From pharmaceutical laboratories and fashion textile factories to the front lines of financial banking, students step directly into enterprises and later present their findings at school assemblies. This practical experience ensures that when facing the future, our students feel less uncertainty and more of a confident 'Can-do' spirit.

      Part 4

      Empowered by Tech,

      Creating Without Limits

From our META Space and 3D Printing Centre to the VEX Robotics Lab and Drone Studio, we employ top-tier facilities to fuel our students' wildest ideas. Empowered by this environment, our students have not only clinched Gold at international VEX competitions but have also taken the stage as youth representatives to speak confidently at the World Internet Conference.
