    • Last Friday, the global campuses of the Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) Education Network came together to celebrate the meaningful annual "Founder's Day", commemorating our Founder, Madam Tsang Chor-hang. As 2025 marks the 93rd anniversary of YCYW. We are also delighted to celebrate two joyful milestones: the 30th anniversary of YCIS Beijing and the 10th anniversary of YWIES Shanghai Lingang.

In her celebratory address, Dr Betty Chan Po-king, CEO and School Supervisor of YCYW, expressed gratitude for the long-standing support from all sectors of society. She shared that for 93 years, YCYW has steadfastly upheld its educational philosophy of blending Chinese and Western approaches, emphasising the integration of science and technology, culture and arts, and love and charity. YCYW is committed to nurturing future talents who possess both international competitiveness and a strong sense of social responsibility. We continue to expand university pathways and create broader opportunities for our students. This approach is the core mission of YCYW and serves as the driving force for its continuous progress.

On this special day, YWIES Tongxiang hosted a series of enriching, diverse, and profoundly meaningful activities.

These Founder's Day celebratory and learning activities were structured around the school's four houses. They were thoughtfully designed to subtly blend the essence of diverse disciplines, meticulously presenting students with a comprehensive experience that integrated the vibrant energy of sports, the unique allure of arts, cross-cultural exchange in Chinese and English, the rigorous thinking of mathematics, the deep enrichment of humanities, and the innovative exploration of entrepreneurship.

We also consistently integrated student leadership and service learning. This approach cultivated invaluable holistic growth, helping children develop self-worth and a profound sense of purpose through active participation and meaningful contribution, thereby reinforcing the deep educational significance of Founder's Day.

As a special tribute for this celebration, our school's teachers and students passionately created and produced an original YWIES Tongxiang Founder's Day theme song MV titled 'One Voice One Spirit', expressing through song their deep commemoration for our founder and heartfelt wishes for the school's future.

For 93 years, we have been devoted to nurturing young minds—and we are deeply grateful to have you by our side. As we look to the future, we will continue to care for every child with heart, partnering with you to build an ever warmer and more vibrant learning community.
