This year, with the theme "A Colorful Spring of Ethnic Diversity: Exploring the Cultural Charms of China's Ethnic Groups," we launched the Chinese New Year celebrations. Through project-based learning, we aim for students, teachers, and parents to deeply appreciate China's diverse ethnic cultures while enhancing school-home interaction to foster a vibrant community atmosphere.

CULTURAL EXPLORATION & SHOWCASE

Project-based learning spans all grade levels, with each focusing on the cultural exploration of a specific ethnic group. Students showcase their learning through exhibitions and creative performances. The exhibition area features various crafts, costumes, and posters, highlighting both the students' creativity and the cultural essence of China's diverse ethnic groups.

SPRING FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE

During the Spring Festival performance, students dressed in traditional costumes and showcased vibrant performances from the Dai, Korean, Manchu, Dong, Tibetan, Uyghur, Mongolian, and Han ethnic groups, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

CULINARY EXPERIENCE & EXCHANGE

During the culinary experience session, teachers and students together made traditional foods such as Mongolian milk tea, candied hawthorn, dumplings, peach blossom pastries, rice cakes, and seaweed rolls. Through tasting, everyone felt the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival and the charm of various ethnic cuisines.

Parents were invited to visit the students' cultural exhibitions. They expressed that such activities not only broadened the children's knowledge but also deepened their understanding of the diverse cultures of China's ethnic groups. 

The Chinese New Year celebrations were as rich and impressive as ever. Through the explorations and presentations of Tongxiang Yew Wah students, parents and teachers once again marveled at the vibrant diversity of Chinese culture.
